I am honored to partner with the Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation and host the first-ever Brendan Smith Kancer Jam fundraising event! Together with my Devils teammates, we'll be raising funds for New Jersey families affected by a breast kancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, my family has first-hand knowledge of the devastating toll kancer takes on families, losing both of my grandparents, Joyce & Lester Smith Sr., to breast kancer. My goal in staging my Kancer Jam event is to honor their memories by bringing smiles to the faces of other families similarly affected.

Please join my teammates and I on Sunday afternoon, January 7th, 2024. My Kancer Jam will take place at a soon-to-be-announced location in Newark, N.J., just a short distance from the Prudential Center. Together, we'll compete in a Kan Jam tournament.

Your team of two players will be paired with one of my teammates and together, you'll compete side-by-side with and against some of your favorite Devil players! When you're not playing, you'll have the opportunity to mix & mingle with your favorite players in an intimate environment. NOTE: Though it is expected that most of Brendan's teammates will attend, no one player's attendance is guaranteed.

Below is an approximate timeline of events:

12:30pm- Arrival/Registration

1:00pm- Opening Ceremonies

1:15pm- Kancer Jam group play begins

2:45pm- Group play ends

3:00pm- Elite 8 begins

3:15pm- Final four begins

3:30pm- Championship begins

3:45pm- Champions crowned

4:00pm-Closing remarks, event ends

*Lunch & beverages served throughout event

To Enter: Only 32 team slots available. Each team (2 people per team) agrees to donate/fundraise a minimum of $2,222.Upon registering, your fundraising page will have a unique URL, which you can share with friends, family, co-workers, sponsors to increase your fundraising efforts. Admission is limited to only the two registered team members- no spectators are permitted.
