As many of you know Maia and I are huge Devils fans which makes being part of this fundraiser even more special to us but our passion runs much deeper.
In my 30 plus years in healthcare I have seen the devastating impact that a Cancer diagnosis can have not only on the individual person, but also their loved ones. I have had the honor to care for countless patients fighting this illness. I have shared many tears with them and their families. I have been honored to be last person with them during their last minutes and comfort them. I have also been there to celebrate success stories and cancer free anniversaries.
I recently have lost someone very important to me from cancer. My friend Hope was diagnosed with cancer and it never did I dream that she would not beat it. The world is not the same without her.
This Holiday season I could not think of a better way to support someone else who is fighting this horrible illness. Please consider donating to my team to ease some of the financial burdens for patients and families impacted by this illness.
Maia and I are proud to be partnering with Brendan Smith of the New Jersey Devils and raising funds for New Jersey families affected by a kancer diagnosis via the Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation.
