In January of 2021, Franco Monnecka, a 12 year -old hockey player for the Secaucus Patriots, was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkins lymphoma. He immediately began treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City, and underwent 3 surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. We're happy to report that Franco is now cancer-free and is back on the ice playing the sports he loves.

Franco and his family received tremendous support from many people inside and outside the hockey community, including New York Islanders Captain Anders Lee, a Jambassador of the Jam Kancer in The Kan Foundation. Lee befriended Franco, invited him to a number of Islanders games and gave him a jersey and game-used stick. When asked by his parents where he'd like to donate the proceeds from the Franco Strong Fundraiser, Franco selected the Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation.

Franco & his family are grateful that he's healthy and back to playing the sport he loves. He's able to do so thanks to support from so many. Please help him pay it forward by donating to our Franco Strong fundraiser.

Thank you.
